MUNA’s“Gets So Hot Tour”got uncomfortably literal Monday morning when the band’s tour bus caught fire on the southbound 5 Freeway in Burbank, California. According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver didn’t initially notice the flames before pulling over just past the Buena Vista Street off-ramp around 8:20 a.m. The Burbank Fire Department extinguished the blaze, and no injuries were reported.

The band confirmed on Instagram that it was their bus, writing that“many personal items were lost but we’re all safe, thank goodness.”The rear of the bus was heavily damaged and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The tour, however, is continuing as planned. MUNA is still scheduled to perform Wednesday at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, with Caroline Polachek also on the bill. Have you ever had to evacuate a vehicle in an emergency? Tell us your story in the comments.
