Michelle Williams is officially a college sophomore at 47, and she announced it the way only she could. The Destiny’s Child alum posted a selfie in a green Regent University T-shirt and glasses, writing“Chiiiiiiiiile, your girl is back in school!!”She’s studying psychology, and when she explained why, she went straight for the joke:“because y’all need help.”
What makes the announcement even better is that she almost didn’t make it. Williams admitted she talked herself out of posting the news and kept it from family and friends, all because of one nagging thought: what if you don’t finish? Instead of letting that stop her, she declared she’s going to finish strong. She also pinned a comment thanking fans and asking for study tips, saying her advisors and professors have been awesome.
