The Markle family rift just got a lot more serious. Thomas Markle Jr. says he discovered disturbing material at his father’s home in the Philippines and has handed what he describes as a huge pile of evidence to police. He says he’s completely certain the material has nothing to do with him and is pressing his father to explain how it ended up there.
Thomas Markle Sr., 82, isn’t backing down. He denies the allegations outright, calling them sick lies. Meanwhile, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, says a 2018 letter outlining the allegations was shared with her, that she was assured it was being investigated, and that protecting her children is the reason she’s kept her distance from her father. The Metropolitan Police confirm a letter was received in January 2019 and shared with Meghan, though no charges have been filed.
With accusations, denials, and a police letter on the record, this story is far from over. Do you think these kinds of family allegations should stay private until charges are filed, or does the public deserve to know? Sound off in the comments.
