Mckenna Grace Says No to Nudity and Hypersexual Roles, Still Dreams of Disney

Mckenna Grace is only 20, but she already knows exactly where her line is. In a candid Cosmopolitan interview, the actress said she doesn’t take nudity or heavily sexualized roles, adding that she respects performers who do while calling that kind of work terrifying for herself. She’s currently gearing up for the Hunger Games prequel Sunrise on the Reaping, which makes the timing of her honesty even more noticeable.

Naturally, the internet latched onto another quote from the same interview: her dream of playing a Disney princess someday. Headlines started connecting the two, so Grace clarified on Instagram that the princess dream and her boundaries are completely unrelated. She’s not avoiding edgy work to protect a Disney image. She just knows what she’s comfortable with.

She’s also not the only one drawing lines. Amy Adams, Penn Badgley and Neal McDonough have all set limits on intimate scenes, and Angel Studios recently announced a content pledge banning sex, nudity and gratuitous profanity. Critic Christian Toto suggested Grace’s family-friendly start in the industry may have shaped her instincts. Either way, it’s a conversation Hollywood keeps having, just now with a Gen Z voice leading it.

Do you think more young actors should set public boundaries like this?
