Lauryn“Pumpkin”Efird is officially off the market. The Mama June daughter said yes to Darrin Kitchens after two years of dating, and the proposal was straight out of a rom-com. Kitchens popped the question Wednesday evening on a rented Atlanta restaurant rooftop terrace surrounded by candles, and Pumpkin shared the proposal photos on TikTok the very next day. Her split-shank diamond ring got plenty of screen time.
The family showed up for the big moment. Pumpkin’s sister, Alana“Honey Boo Boo”Thompson, was there with her boyfriend Dralin Carswell. Pumpkin also gave fans a little quote to remember, saying,“I am literally STILL over the moon.”And since this family lives out loud on reality TV, the engagement is expected to appear in an upcoming season of their series. Pumpkin was previously married to Josh Efird, and their divorce was finalized in September 2024. She shares joint custody of four children with him.
