Lubbock’s Oktoberfest is back for its sixth year on Sunday, October 11th, running 1 to 5 p.m. at the Pavilion at Spirit Ranch, 701 Regis Street. Presented by Spirit Ranch and Scoggin Dickey Parts, the event is free to attend and built for the whole family.
Seven regional breweries will be pouring, including Brewery LBK, Good Line Beer Co., Mano Negra, Pondaseta Brewing Co., Tall City Brewing Co., Two Docs Brewing and Triple J Brewery. Live music comes from SPiVEY and Joy Riot, and German food and local vendors fill out the afternoon. The stein-holding contest and best-dressed contest both return, while kids can burn off energy in the bounce houses and game area.
The setting is a big part of the draw. Spirit Ranch sits in tree-filled Escondido Canyon, a spot plenty of Lubbock residents have never explored. Free admission, local beer, live music, and a fall afternoon under the oaks make this an easy Sunday outing for families, friend groups, and anyone who just wants to see what’s back there. Gates open at 1 p.m. and the taps close at 5.
