LISA stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to talk about her upcoming solo EP PRESS PLAY, and she gave fans the perfect way to think about it.“It’s like a movie. So you just press play,”she told Fallon, describing the project as a journey from her roots to where she is today, with Thai elements woven throughout. The EP arrives October 23.
The lead single“SaWaDiKa”has already put up huge numbers, with more than 70 million YouTube views in its first 24 hours and a peak at No. 69 on the Hot 100. LISA also confirmed that track four will be the next single and that its title starts with the letter T, which has fans guessing online. Beyond the music, her documentary Always Lalisa, directed by Sue Kim, opens in cinemas and IMAX on October 12, and her Las Vegas residency VIVA LA LISA takes over November 13-14 and November 27-28 with tickets sold out.
This all adds to a résumé that already includes being the first K-pop artist on the Met Gala host committee and the first female K-pop and Thai artist to perform at a FIFA World Cup opening ceremony.
