The Voice saved its biggest moment of the Blind Auditions for last. Lillie Kolich, a 25-year-old Albuquerque native now living in Nashville, performed Sombr’s“Back to Friends”on Tuesday’s finale of the Blinds and watched every single chair turn. Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, Queen Latifah, and Riley Green all wanted her on their team.
Queen Latifah was the last coach to hit her button, which usually means a contestant has already made up their mind. Not this time. Kolich chose Latifah anyway, giving the first-season coach arguably her biggest get of the Blinds. It also says something about how this new panel is shaking up the show’s usual math.
The episode didn’t slow down from there. The Battle Rounds began the same night, with Riley Green matching Nashville baker Brandy Neelly against sisters Ferryn and Brinkley on Miranda Lambert’s“Mama’s Broken Heart.”Carly Pearce served as Green’s battle advisor, and Green ultimately advanced the sisters to Cut Week, ending Neelly’s run. Season 30 is off to a loud start.
Which coach would you pick if all four turned for you? Let us know.
