LeSean“Shady”McCoy is one of the toughest running backs to ever play in the NFL. He’s also the guy who lasted less than 24 hours on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test Season 5. His exit reasoning? Mosquitoes and the outdoor bathroom setup. That’s the whole list.
Instructor Jovon“Q”Quarles, a former Navy SEAL, didn’t hold back on Page Six’s“Virtual Reali-Tea”podcast. He said he was“livid”and accused McCoy of stealing money from the directing staff, pointing out that celebrity recruits get paid the same whether they last one day or the entire season. Quarles says he lost respect for the two-time Super Bowl champ and hasn’t spoken to him since filming wrapped.
The debate here is bigger than one reality show. Is walking away from something miserable a sign of self-awareness, or a sign you never should’ve signed up? And should reality stars get paid the same no matter how fast they tap out? Special Forces airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on Fox. What do you think: was McCoy smart or soft?
