The 47th annual Lawton International Festival is set for Friday, Sept. 25 through Sunday, Sept. 27 at Elmer Thomas Park, and admission is free all three days. Two stages will host local groups and organizations alongside headliners, with performances from Mariachi Las Altenas, the Mexican Folkloric Dancers, and the Comanche Nation Youth Dancers. Food vendors and activities round out the weekend.

Friday night opens at 5:45 p.m. with the Opening Ceremony and Parade of Nations. Saturday runs 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday closes things out from noon to 5 p.m. Parking at the park is free, and a free shuttle connects overflow lots at the Museum of the Great Plains and McMahon Memorial Auditorium, so you never have to circle for a spot.

Whether you come for one evening or camp out all weekend, this is one of Lawton’s easiest wins: no tickets, no parking fees, and a short drive from anywhere in town. What performance or food vendor are you most excited to check out this year?
