KPop Demon Hunters has been a Netflix exclusive since it debuted, and that changes on Tuesday, Nov. 3, when it arrives on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD through the Criterion Collection. Prices start at $20.99, and the three-disc 4K set is on sale for $34.99 (down from $49.99) at Barnes&Noble, with copies also available at Criterion.com and Amazon.

The 4K edition is a serious collector’s package. It features a directors-approved Dolby Vision master with Dolby Atmos audio, plus a new introduction from directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, a making-of documentary, video essays, lyric videos, an art book and an essay by critic Karen Han. The cover artwork comes from artist Ami Thompson.

A Criterion release for a Netflix film is rare, and the timing makes sense. The movie won two Oscars, Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for“Golden,”and it remains the most-watched original in Netflix history. With lyric videos and an art book in the box, it’s also shaping up as one of the stronger holiday gifts for animation fans this year.

Are you picking up the 4K set, or waiting for a sale? Let us know in the comments.
