Moana, holding the record at 62 weeks. That means two more weeks at the top would tie the all-time mark, and three would break it.
What makes the run even more impressive is the consistency. Out of 64 total weeks on the chart, KPop Demon Hunters has been No. 1 for 60 of them, spending just four weeks anywhere else. It’s also part of a bigger trend: the five soundtracks with the most weeks at No. 1 are all from animated films, including Frozen, Frozen II, and Encanto. Animation is dominating this chart in a way no other genre comes close to matching.
One caveat for the chart historians out there. Billboard’s Top Soundtracks chart launched on June 30, 2001, so pre-2001 giants like Saturday Night Fever and Purple Rain were never eligible. The lone exception is A Charlie Brown Christmas, which has charted every holiday season since.
