Kodak Black is out of jail, but his freedom comes with a heavy set of conditions that read like a playlist of“don’t even think about it.”The rapper posted $75,000 bail Thursday after his arrest connected to a November 2025 incident in Orlando involving MDMA that was discovered during a police search.
Here’s where things get interesting. According to an arrest affidavit, cops responded to gunshot reports on an Orlando street and found two idling vehicles with Kodak Black standing nearby. During their search, police located a pink bag containing MDMA and $37K inside one of the cars. At the time, Kodak wasn’t arrested. But last month, an official report showed the MDMA weighed 25.34 grams—well over the trafficking threshold of 14 grams—which triggered his recent arrest on drug trafficking charges.
The judge didn’t hold back with the release conditions. Kodak must steer clear of illegal drugs, avoid contact with his associates, stay away from the alleged crime scene, and cannot carry a gun. Those aren’t suggestions—they’re court orders, and violating any of them could land him back behind bars.
His attorney, Bradford Cohen, isn’t mincing words. He’s calling the case a“total joke,”arguing that Kodak was nowhere near the bag containing the MDMA at the scene and that police had no probable cause to arrest him later. Cohen says they’re fighting the charge hard and expect to get it dismissed soon. Whether that defense holds up is another story, but for now, Kodak’s taste of freedom comes with strings attached—some pretty tight ones.
