KJ Biermann's Phone Was Already a Divorce Court Battle a Year Before His Arrest

Court records reveal that KJ Biermann’s cellphone was at the center of a bitter dispute between his parents, Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann, more than a year before his arrest. In February 2025, Zolciak filed an emergency motion claiming Kroy took the children’s phones and restricted her access following a redacted discovery. The filings reference an in-camera inspection of the eldest child’s cellphone and its data.

Now, that same phone is reportedly central to the prosecution’s case against KJ, 15, who was indicted on seven charges including aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery. The charges stem from alleged acts against a victim under 16 at a Life Time Fitness in Alpharetta, Georgia, on April 23. Prosecutors say videos found on his phone allegedly show him having sex with an underage family member. His attorney and mother both deny the allegations.

A judge granted KJ $200,000 bond with conditions including staying at his mother’s home, virtual school, no social media, and electronic monitoring. He has been held at a Georgia youth detention center since his August 17 arrest. The timeline connecting the divorce court fight to the criminal case has raised questions about evidence handling and parental knowledge.
