KJ Biermann’s legal battle intensified Friday when a Fulton County judge granted the 15-year-old a $200,000 bond, but not without serious strings attached. Prosecutors alleged during the hearing that videos found on his phone showed him having sex with a family member under 12, and stated he had a prior charge of sexual battery against a victim under 16.
His attorney, Jason Sheffield, disputed how the court characterized the evidence, saying the earlier juvenile matter involved“inappropriate, crude behavior involving two middle-schoolers”and did not result in an adjudication for statutory rape or any comparable offense. KJ has been in custody since his August 17 arrest and faces seven charges, including aggravated child molestation and aggravated sodomy, connected to an April incident.
Under the bond conditions, KJ must remain under house arrest at his mother Kim Zolciak’s home, attend school virtually, avoid social media and phone use, and have no contact with the victim or anyone 16 or under. The alleged victim in the April case said in a statement that she is living in fear. Both sides continue to present very different accounts of what the evidence shows.
