Kim Kardashian is opening up about co-parenting with Ye, and it turns out their strongest communication channel is North West’s music career. In an interview with The Sunday Times published October 4, Kim said she and her ex make sure they’re aligned and that North only takes on projects they both approve. For two people whose split played out publicly, that’s a plot twist nobody saw coming.

North’s résumé backs up the careful approach. The 13-year-old released her debut EP N0rth4evr in May, landed on Billboard’s 2026 class of 21 Under 21, and hit the Hot 100 at just 10 years old with“Talking”alongside Ye and Ty Dolla $ign. She also headlined her first show in Chicago this August with both parents in attendance.

But the most interesting detail? Kim says she’s the one slowing things down.“I hold her back,”she told the paper, noting that North wants every forward-facing project that comes her way. So is Kim protecting her daughter’s childhood, or is she managing the rollout of a future superstar?Billboard has the full story. Tell us: would you hold your kid back, or let them go full speed?
