Apple TV+ just delivered the news fans have been waiting for:“Imperfect Women”is officially returning for Season 2. The show, which premiered in March as a limited series, is dropping that label and expanding its world. This time, the story centers on Kerry Washington’s character Eleanor, who heads back to her hometown roots in Martha’s Vineyard and uncovers secrets that challenge everything she thought she knew about her past.
Season 1 was based on Araminta Hall’s novel and starred Washington alongside Elisabeth Moss and Kate Mara. The trio’s performances resonated so strongly with audiences that Apple TV’s head of programming said the network jumped at the chance to keep the story going through Eleanor’s fan-favorite character. Washington shared her own excitement about stepping back into Eleanor’s shoes for this next chapter.
The timing could not be better for Washington fans. She also stars in the crime thriller“Animals”with Ben Affleck, which premieres October 9, giving her a huge week across both TV and film. Between a brand-new season order and a major movie release, Washington is having a moment. Are you team Eleanor all the way, or did another character from Season 1 steal your heart?
