Ken Urker, the ex-boyfriend of Gypsy Rose Blanchard and father of her one-year-old daughter Aurora, died on October 1 at his Louisiana home. It was his 34th birthday. In a new interview with the Daily Mail, his sister Autumn Urker revealed that Ken slept with a gun every night because he was facing constant online bullying, death threats, and doxxing, and she blames Blanchard for the harassment.

Blanchard has said she believes Ken died of an overdose, though no official cause of death has been confirmed. Autumn disputes any suggestion that he died on purpose, telling the outlet the family does not believe he would ever do that to Aurora or their mother. Blanchard has since launched an online petition called Kenan’s Law, aimed at improving how social media platforms respond to harassment reports. There are also reported tensions between the families over his memorial and access to Aurora.

The story has sparked conversations about cyberbullying, gun ownership, and how public feuds play out on social media. What’s your take: should platforms be held accountable for the harassment people face online? Sound off in the comments.
