Kelly Osbourne is opening up about one of the hardest years of her life. After turning heads at the 2026 BRIT Awards in February with a noticeably slimmer frame, she told The Sun that she’s since gained 30 pounds. The reason? Grief over the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne, in July 2025, which made it nearly impossible for her to eat. When she saw her red carpet photos, she admitted she couldn’t believe it was her.
In the interview, Osbourne described hitting what she called“ground zero,”even asking her late father for help through candle magic. Her mother, Sharon, connected her with therapist and life coach Chris Miller. She also addressed the body-shamers directly, denying any eating disorder or plastic surgery beyond Botox. On top of everything, she split from ex-fiancé Sid Wilson in March and is now eight months sober after briefly drinking again following her father’s death.
Perhaps the most powerful takeaway from her story is her perspective on grief itself. She said she’s learned that her grief is an honor, because it means she truly loved someone that much. It’s a reminder that healing isn’t linear, and that asking for help is never a weakness.
