On Monday, September 21, the actor and Dogstar bassist walked onstage at The Warfield in San Francisco to introduce Peter Hook&The Light, calling the Joy Division and New Order co-founder“the one, the only”and telling the crowd they were about to hear“the music we all love from then, today and tomorrow.”Hook then delivered a 26-song set spanning Joy Division, New Order, and Monaco, closing with“Love Will Tear Us Apart.”
That closer meant something extra, because Keanu has been a Joy Division fan for years. He named“Love Will Tear Us Apart”his desert island song during an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. So when the opening notes hit, fans caught him in a private box, rocking out without a care in the world.
