KATSEYE fans finally have a timeline. HYBE x Geffen announced Thursday that Sophia will return to group activities during the first week of January 2027, capping off a health hiatus she began back in August. That means she’ll miss the entire North American WILDWORLD tour, which starts next week in Miami and wraps November 27 in Mexico City, along with all promotional activities for the rest of 2026.
In a message to fans, Sophia opened up about her time away, saying she’s been receiving the care she needs, learning tools to better support herself, and keeping up with training so she can return happier, healthier, stronger, and more grounded. She also shared a line that’s already resonating with EYEKONS:“Sometimes having the courage to take a step back is what allows you to move forward.”
The bigger picture is complicated. KATSEYE just earned their first Billboard 200 No. 1 with the EP WILD, but they’re heading into their biggest tour yet without Sophia, and Manon Bannerman has been on a break since February with no update on her return. The group is riding a career high while two members remain on the sidelines.
What do you think, EYEKONS, should KATSEYE push the tour back until everyone’s healthy, or keep the momentum going?
