The search comes just days after a devastating loss. Kaia’s brother Presley Gerber died Sunday at a Santa Monica rehab facility at age 27. He had been treated for a suspected overdose after cardiac arrest, and no official cause of death has been released. Sources close to the family say the siblings were far closer than most, describing them as best friends.
Kaia, 25, is the only daughter of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber. The family is still processing everything, and this week has made the search for a small cat feel like something much bigger.
