Journey’s farewell tour took a frightening detour Thursday night in Tulsa. Two songs into the set at the BOK Center, drummer Deen Castronovo suffered a medical emergency onstage, and the band immediately stopped and left the stage. Keyboardist Jonathan Cain told the crowd to keep Castronovo in their prayers.

The show didn’t end there. Guitarist Neal Schon returned to announce that Journey would keep playing, with Castronovo’s drum tech Steve Toomey stepping in behind the kit. About fifteen minutes after the stoppage, the band was back onstage. Singer Arnel Pineda asked the audience for prayers, and Schon dedicated the rest of the performance to Castronovo, saying he thinks he’ll be fine.

The incident comes during Journey’s“Final Frontier”farewell tour, which runs through a November 28th show in San Francisco. The band hasn’t shared an update on Castronovo’s condition yet. What’s your favorite Journey song of all time?
