Jonathan Roumie is CCM Magazine’s November 2026 cover artist, and his interview is as personal as it gets. The Chosen star opened up about the music that shaped him and the emotional weight of portraying Jesus, saying filming the crucifixion for Season 6 was“the most amount of sacrificing of my own identity in a role than anything I’ve ever done previously.”He also described an“element of PTSD that is very, very real,”and said the experience followed him off set, including moments of weeping in church. Season 6 premieres on Prime Video November 15.

Today also marks the release of The Songs Inspired by The Chosen: Seasons 1-5, an album of artists responding to the series through music. CCM Magazine is presenting the first live performance of Franni Cash’s“Beautiful Faith,”with a later debut from Blessing Offor. The project was spearheaded by CCM co-owners and co-editors Logan and Amanda Sekulow, giving fans a fresh way to experience the story through song.

The full cover story is available November 2 at CCMmagazine.com, and a spoiler-filled follow-up interview drops November 15, the same day Season 6 premieres on Prime Video. That’s a lot to look forward to in the next few weeks. Which are you more excited for, the new album or Season 6? Let us know in the comments.
