The Gosselin family feud is heading toward a courtroom. Jon Gosselin told Entertainment Tonight that he has grounds to sue ex-wife Kate for defamation and libel after she suggested on TikTok that their son Collin’s abuse allegations stem from mental illness.“She needs to stop. He is not mentally ill,”Jon said, adding that he has the grounds to pursue legal action and that criminal charges could also be on the table, though it would be up to the state.
The allegations come from Collin’s new book,“In the Shadow of Eight,”in which the 22-year-old claims Kate locked him in a holding cell for two years and institutionalized him at age 12. Jon gained custody of Collin and daughter Hannah in 2018, and has been vocal in defending his son since the book’s release.
Adding fuel to the fire, Netflix has announced a new documentary featuring Jon, Collin, and Hannah. With legal threats and a streaming spotlight landing at the same time, this story is far from over. Do you think Jon should take Kate to court, or is this better settled out of the public eye?
