JISOO Wrote "Sun Showers" for The Angry Birds Movie 3, and the Artwork Has a Middle School Surprise

JISOO is officially part of The Angry Birds Movie 3. The BLACKPINK member wrote and recorded an original song called“Sun Showers”for the film’s soundtrack, and the track is expected to play in the movie when it opens Dec. 3, plus in the upcoming trailer. She co-wrote the song and said she wanted to capture the movie’s playful, bright energy with something feel-good that makes people want to smile and dance along.

The detail everyone’s talking about: the song’s artwork features“Shumon,”a dustball character JISOO created back in middle school. A childhood doodle becoming part of an official animated franchise rollout is the kind of full-circle moment fans love. Directed by John Rice, the film also features an all-star voice cast including Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad and Keke Palmer.

The timing couldn’t be better for JISOO’s solo momentum. She released“Click”in September and“Addicted”in October, and now she’s reaching family audiences right in the middle of holiday movie season. The Angry Birds franchise is back, and it’s bringing a K-pop anthem with it.
