Sahara Ray to Be Cremated Nov. 10: Model Dies at 34, Cause of Death Still Pending

Sahara Ray, the Australian model and swimwear designer known for her 2010s pop-culture footprint, will be cremated on Nov. 10 at her mother’s Los Angeles residence, according to a death certificate obtained by Page Six. The 34-year-old died on Oct. 18 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Her autopsy has been completed, but the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office is still waiting on toxicology results before releasing an official cause of death. Last month, reports said Ray had been placed on life support following a suspected fentanyl overdose and that her family decided to remove her from it. Tributes have since come in from her mother, Gretchen Gia Bach, her younger sister Ruby, close friend Jessica Serfaty and her ex, musician Mod Sun. Her mother wrote that no words in any language could hold the weight of this heartbreak.

For fans, Ray was a familiar face from DNCE’s“Cake by the Ocean”video, her high-profile relationships with Mod Sun and Justin Bieber, and her swimwear designs.
