Jeff Lewis Calls Out Andy Cohen Over Babysitter Pay and the Famous-Friend Text Chain Heard Round the Internet

Andy Cohen and Jeff Lewis are in a very public disagreement about babysitter pay, and the details are messier than a reality show reunion. It started when Cohen told“Andy Cohen Live”he pays his sitter $30 an hour and confirmed the rate with his famous friends. Lewis then went on“Not Skinny But Not Fat”and called him cheap, claiming Cohen got so defensive he texted at least three celebrities live on the radio, including Kelly Ripa, to prove he wasn’t underpaying.

For comparison, Lewis pays his own sitter $37.50 an hour, throws in travel bonuses, and drops an extra $100 per 30-minute foot massage. He even joked about the“you forgot my calf”moment. That’s a very different budget conversation than most of us are having, but it does raise a real question about how we value childcare.

So where do you land? Is $30 an hour actually cheap, or is texting famous friends to check your rate the bigger issue here? Let us know in the comments.
