Jane Seymour on Staying in Malibu After 6 Wildfire Evacuations: "The Most Beautiful Place"

Jane Seymour has no plans to leave Malibu, even after evacuating from wildfires at least a half-dozen times. The actress told Page Six she’s never considered moving, calling her adopted hometown“the most beautiful place”with a wonderful community. She’s owned her 6,326-square-foot oceanfront estate since 1994, when she bought it for $3.4 million, and she’s been there for more than three decades.

She isn’t relying on luck. Seymour removed non-drought-tolerant and flammable plants from her garden, consulted the Malibu fire department, and outfitted the property with fire hydrants and a pool-based water system, plus an evacuation plan with fiancé John Zambetti. December 2024 brought one of her closest calls, and she admits survival is partly“the luck of the draw.”

This week she’s also launching a QVC lab-grown diamond jewelry collection, which feels very Jane Seymour: gorgeous jewelry, ocean views, and an attitude of respect for nature. Would you stay in a home that keeps facing wildfire risk, or would you pack it up? Tell us in the comments.
