Jack Black is out here living his best rock and roll life, and we are absolutely here for it. At Tom Morello’s Power to the People Fest, he fronted a Black Sabbath tribute band called Jack Sabbath, and the lineup was stacked with the teenage children of rock legends. Roman Morello, Revel Ian, Yokoya Soma, and Hugo Weiss held down the instruments while Jack did what Jack does best: go completely unhinged on stage in the best way possible. The set included“Mr. Crowley,”“The Wizard,”and“War Pigs,”with Black even learning harmonica just for“The Wizard.”

But the moment that truly blew minds came during“War Pigs,”when Black Sabbath’s own Geezer Butler made a surprise appearance. The metal legend hopped on stage and traded licks with Roman Morello, creating one of those rare cross-generational moments that fans will be talking about for years. Black told the crowd,“It’s been a long time since I rock‘n’rolled,”and with a band this young backing him, he’s not wrong.

This whole thing was a family affair, from Morello’s son on guitar to Scott Ian’s son sharing the stage, and it showed how rock music keeps evolving while honoring its roots. What’s your dream cross-generational collaboration? Let us know in the comments.
