Intocable performed at Mexico City’s Zócalo on September 15, 2026, headlining the country’s Independence Day celebration before an official crowd of 300,000 people. The event marked the 216th anniversary of Mexico’s Independence and was led by President Claudia Sheinbaum.

The invitation had an unlikely beginning. A year before the show, frontman Ricky Muñoz shared the band’s song“Estamos Todos”with a government official, which led to a meeting with Sheinbaum. The president extended the offer during a morning press conference, turning a dream the band had held for years into reality. The timing was especially meaningful because Muñoz turned 51 on the same day as the concert. He called celebrating on Mexico’s most important date“pure poetry.”

The set mixed longtime favorites like“Aire”with the live debut of the band’s new single“Cuando Se Haga de Noche.”The night also capped a record-breaking year for the Tex-Mex group, which recently became the Latin act with the most RIAA diamond certifications, trailing only Bad Bunny.
