Influencer 'Clavicular' Charged With Rape: What We Know About the Case Against Braden Peters

Braden Peters, the 20-year-old influencer known online as“Clavicular,”is facing three criminal charges in Massachusetts, including rape, drugging, and providing liquor to a minor. According to court records out of Orleans District Court, a 17-year-old girl alleges Peters paid her to appear on his Instagram livestreams, instructed her to lie about her age on camera, and then had non-consensual sex with her at his Chatham home on May 23, 2025. Peters’representative says he denies the allegations and has publicly questioned the accuser’s legal filings. His arraignment is scheduled for October 14.

The case has a complicated legal backstory. The same teenager filed a civil lawsuit in Miami in April alleging battery, fraud, and emotional distress. Peters’representative has pointed out that the civil suit did not include sexual assault as a count, while the girl’s lawyer in the Miami case has pushed forward separately. Meanwhile, Peters has posted taunts about the accuser on X, including a video asking a young woman her age, and his recent record includes a March arrest for instigating a fight plus an April charge for illegally shooting a firearm at an alligator.

Beyond the courtroom, the case is sparking a bigger conversation about“looksmaxxing”culture, influencer accountability, and how young fans get caught up in the worlds of creators who hold real power over them.
