Howard Stern Is Working One Day a Week Now, and Beth Stern Says It's a 'Win-Win'

Howard Stern’s next chapter is taking shape, and it comes with a serious schedule upgrade. His SiriusXM show returns September 14, then debuts on HBO Max September 17, with new episodes dropping every Thursday. Live shows are now Mondays only, which means Stern is officially on a one-day workweek.

His wife Beth told the Daily Mail the change is a“win-win.”In her words, she gets more Howard at home while he still gets to be connected to the world. She also said the new schedule is working out really well for him. The couple has relocated to the Hamptons full time, so the beach commute is officially part of the routine.

The transition hasn’t been without shakeups. Roughly a dozen staffers were laid off, his Howard 101 channel was dropped and handed to Andy Cohen, and the whole thing follows a new three-year SiriusXM contract signed back in December 2025. SiriusXM keeps the live show, HBO Max gets the streaming version, and Stern gets a four-day weekend every single week.

So what do you think: does a one-day workweek make the show better, or do you miss the daily grind? Sound off in the comments.
