Hayley Williams just delivered one of the most unexpected and exciting festival moments of the year. Headlining the Newport Folk Festival on July 24, she transformed her set into a rotating guest extravaganza. Over a dozen special guests joined her on stage, including Jack Antonoff, Lucy Dacus, and Jenny Lewis. The energy was intimate, collaborative, and completely electric.
The set featured acoustic versions of Williams’solo material and covers. But the crowd went wild for Remi Wolf, who debuted a brand new track called“Twiggy Little Butt”for the first time live. It was quirky, fun, and perfectly on-brand for a set full of surprises. The whole thing wrapped with a communal singalong of Bill Withers’“Lean On Me,”with nearly every guest joining in.
