Hayden Panettiere’s engagement ring from ex-fiancé Wladimir Klitschko has reportedly gone missing, and those close to her believe it was taken in the final days of her life. The emerald-cut diamond, which she designed with Montblanc and was valued at up to $500,000, was something she held onto for years after the engagement ended.
Sources say friends and family suspect someone who was with her during her final weeks took the ring while pawning her belongings. Her estranged mother, Lesley Vogel, has also alleged that Panettiere’s on-and-off boyfriend Brian Hickerson once pawned her things, adding weight to the family’s concerns.
Panettiere died August 16 in South Carolina from the accidental toxic effects of fentanyl and other drugs. She had recently been released from a Malibu rehab facility, and a memorial service was held in Malibu on September 19. The ring remains unaccounted for.
