Gypsy Rose Blanchard is turning her grief into a mission. Her ex-fiancé and the father of her daughter, Ken Urker, was found dead in his Louisiana home on his 34th birthday earlier this week. A cause of death has not been released while the investigation continues.

On Sunday, October 4, Blanchard announced a petition on Instagram for“Kenan’s Law,”aimed at changing how social media platforms respond to online harassment. The proposal calls for pattern-based reporting and human review, so repeated reports of abuse get looked at as a whole instead of one post at a time.“Ken’s passing has made me determined to turn pain into purpose,”she wrote, adding that“fame does not erase humanity.”

The Change.org petition had 382 signatures as of publication. Blanchard and Urker share a 16-month-old daughter, Aurora. The push arrives as debates over cyberbullying, platform accountability, and free speech keep heating up.

What’s the one change you’d want social platforms to make first? Tell us in the comments.
