A new biography is putting the final chapter of Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen’s marriage under a microscope. In“Brady: An American Story and the Price of Greatness,”author Lars Anderson claims Bündchen ended their 13-year marriage in 2022 by telling Brady they were not compatible, a conclusion she reportedly reached through her interest in astrology. According to the book, she even asked him about retirement right after his 2017 Super Bowl win with the Patriots.

The strain, per the book, built for years. Bündchen reportedly sent Brady a note in 2018 asking for more presence and help with their children, while his career kept pulling him away. Brady announced his retirement in February 2022, reversed it the following month, and the couple finalized their divorce that October, saying their children were their priority. Bündchen has since remarried jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente and welcomed a son, while Brady has been linked to other celebrities.
