Fuerza Regida is adding another major milestone to an already massive year. Billboard announced October 5 that the San Bernardino group will receive the Vanguard Award at the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards, honoring a career built on innovation and a refusal to follow anyone else’s playbook for música mexicana.
The numbers behind the honor are staggering: more than 46 million monthly Spotify listeners, 35 billion career streams, and 16 entries on the Billboard Hot 100. Their 2025 album 111XPANTIA debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, making it the highest-charting Spanish-language album by a duo or group in the chart’s history. In 2026, they’ll launch the first-ever U.S. stadium tour by a regional Mexican group.
The band is also a finalist for 12 awards and will perform during the ceremony, which airs live Thursday, October 22 at 8 p.m. ET on Telemundo and Peacock from Miami’s James L. Knight Center. Peso Pluma leads all finalists this year with 17 mentions. Which Fuerza Regida era is your favorite? Let us know in the comments.
