Eric Bauza, the voice actor behind Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety, Porky Pig and dozens more iconic characters, has died at 46. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirmed the cause was hypertensive cardiovascular disease. The Ontario, Canada native was one of the most prolific voice actors of his generation, with more than 400 credits across a career spanning over 25 years.

Bauza’s reach went far beyond Looney Tunes. He appeared on X-Men’97, Rick and Morty, Bob’s Burgers, Animaniacs and Teen Titans Go!, and his film work included The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Space Jam: A New Legacy and Coyote vs. Acme. Along the way he collected three Emmy Awards and nine additional nominations, a resume that made him a quiet giant in animation.

For fans, the loss hits because Bauza wasn’t just performing characters, he was carrying them forward for a new generation. Bugs and Daffy have made people laugh for decades, and for a whole era of cartoons, they sounded like him. Which Eric Bauza character meant the most to you growing up? Let us know in the comments.
