Emilie Kiser is sharing a side of her life that doesn’t make the highlight reel. In a TikTok update posted Thursday, October 1, the 27-year-old mom opened up about her mental health while pregnant with her third baby, nearly a year and a half after her son Trigg died in a drowning accident in May 2025.

Kiser, who announced her pregnancy in July, described the shock of losing Trigg as something that may never fade. She also admitted this pregnancy has been a mental battle and that she’s nervous about giving birth in a hospital for the first time since the loss. But she gave credit where it’s due, saying her son Teddy is the reason she keeps going each morning:“I truly don’t know how I would be surviving without my son Teddy being here.”

She’s also bracing for a postpartum period she expects to be depressing and triggering, and she shared all of it hoping it reaches someone else who’s struggling. Pregnancy after loss and grief are conversations more people live through than we realize. Have you ever supported a friend through pregnancy after loss? Tell us how you showed up for them.
