Elizabeth Holmes Praises Trump After Securing Early Prison Release, and Victims Are Speaking Out

Elizabeth Holmes is back in the news, and the internet has thoughts. The Theranos founder, currently serving 11 years for defrauding investors, has reportedly secured an early release. A letter sent to victims says she’ll move from a Texas federal prison camp to the Austin Transitional Center in Del Valle, Texas, on August 23, 2027. Her sentence was reduced to 123 months and cut even further for good conduct under the First Step Act.

Then, on Friday, Holmes posted on X praising President Trump, quoting a Trump administration video with the line“We are winning.”The post landed hard, especially since Holmes was ordered to pay 12 victims $452 million in restitution. One of those victims, Alan Eisenman, told reporters he hasn’t received a single dollar and called her a liar back in 2006 and a liar today.

Holmes’former business partner, Sunny Balwani, remains incarcerated, and her former prison roommate was reportedly Real Housewives star Jen Shah. With her release approaching in 2027, the conversation is shifting from her crimes to what justice actually looks like for the people she scammed.
