DoorDash Driver Tells Customer Her 20 Percent Tip "Is Not Enough" and the Internet Can't Agree

A TikTok creator says her DoorDash driver confronted her about her tip immediately after delivering her order. She says she selected the app’s 20 percent option, which came out to six dollars, and the driver checked her phone, told her“that is not enough,”and pushed for more. She declined, walked inside, and shared the whole exchange online, where it pulled in over 18,100 likes and thousands of comments.

The comment section is completely split. Some people say confronting a customer at their own front door is out of line, especially when you tapped the tip amount the app itself recommended. Others argue that six dollars doesn’t cover gas, mileage, and wait time, and that delivery apps deliberately set default tips too low.
