Dolly Parton's Nephew Allegedly Used Barbed Wire to Dodge Estate Lawsuit

Court documents are painting a bizarre picture of the legal battle brewing over Dolly Parton’s estate. Her nephew, Bryan Seaver, who once served as her head of security, is accused of using barbed wire, caution tape, and no-trespassing signs to avoid being served with a lawsuit. The estate’s management company, She’s Alive, LLC, says he also threatened staff and tried to extort Parton’s longtime manager, Donny Nozell.

Seaver was reportedly fired about a month after sending an expletive-filled email to Parton’s team, and a judge has now pushed his hearing from Oct. 9 to Oct. 20 after he said he was struggling to find legal counsel. He denies all of the allegations against him. The estate argued that he waited until the last possible moment to act and shouldn’t be rewarded for it.

All of this comes just weeks after Parton died on Aug. 25 at 80, following a private battle with cancer. Fans around the world are still processing the loss, and now they’re watching a very public family conflict unfold around her legacy. Do you think disputes like this should stay private, or does the public have a right to know?
