Sean“Diddy”Combs is down another set of lawyers, and the split is getting ugly. On Sept. 15, Manhattan firm Sher Tremonte asked a judge to withdraw from representing him in more than 40 civil sexual misconduct lawsuits, saying Combs owes substantial unpaid fees stretching back more than six months and stopped cooperating with his legal team for over four months.
Combs tells a different story. He says he fired the firm himself, accusing it of overcharging him with bills that were never approved.“Any suggestion that we overcharged him is simply false,”the firm responded, calling it a total breakdown in the attorney-client relationship. While the two sides fight over who quit who, Combs is keeping longtime civil litigator Jonathan Davis on his New York cases.
