Dancing with Jealousy: Alexa and Carlos PenaVega Spill the Tea on Their DWTS Experience

Alexa PenaVega and Carlos PenaVega have opened up about the not-so-glamorous side of competing on Dancing With the Stars back in 2015. While they both took to the floor with their pro partners, jealousy didn’t just stay away from the dance floor; it crept into their marriage too. Carlos admitted to feeling jealous as Alexa twirled with Mark Ballas, and that jealousy made their experience much tougher than anticipated.

Alexa described her time on the show as a struggle, partly due to Carlos’s insecurities at the time. She felt like she couldn’t focus on her performance the way she wanted, which is a shame, considering the love and support they share now. Looking back, both agree that if they returned to DWTS today, they’d tackle it in a whole new way. After all, it can be hard to shine when your partner’s dancing with someone else!
