Collin Gosselin's Memoir Drops October 13 and Kate Is Reportedly "Nervous"

Collin Gosselin is 22 years old, starring on season 5 of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, and about to publish a memoir called“In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood.”The release date is October 13, and according to Page Six, his estranged mother Kate Gosselin is“nervous”about it. A source claims Kate views any of her children who speak about the family publicly as a traitor, and that the book will address long-held secrets, including her past relationship with former bodyguard Steve Neild. Her rep did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

For anyone who needs a refresher: Collin was sent to a behavioral health facility at age 11 in 2016 and has been estranged from Kate since. He later reunited with his father Jon Gosselin, who gained custody of him and sister Hannah. Collin says writing the book was“insanely healing,”and he’s been clear about his intentions:“This book is going to reveal the truth and people will finally see the real Kate Gosselin, and it’s not pretty.”
