Christy Carlson Romano Says Mandy Moore Was a "Mean Girl" at the Princess Diaries Wrap Party

Christy Carlson Romano is opening up about a Princess Diaries wrap party moment that’s been bugging her for over two decades. On Page Six Radio, Romano recalled approaching Heather Matarazzo to reminisce about their MTV days, only for Matarazzo to not remember her. Standing nearby was Mandy Moore, who Romano says let out a fake laugh, a reaction that left her feeling hurt and thinking Moore was a“mean girl.”

The irony isn’t lost on anyone. Moore played Lana Thomas, the blonde bully who makes Mia Thermopolis’s life miserable in the 2001 film, and she’s even said playing the villain was“so much more fun than playing the good girl.”Moore has not publicly responded to Romano’s account, and the internet has been busy picking sides ever since.
