He singled out Curry Barker’s recent film Obsession as a shining example of horror done brilliantly in the modern era. When asked if actor Robert Pattinson ever gifted him a Stephen King novel for potential adaptation, Nolan playfully shot down the notion, joking that sadly, that never happened.
