Chris Hansen Calls Robert Pattinson's Portrayal in "Primetime" Bizarre and Unhinged

Chris Hansen has officially seen“Primetime,”the A24 film where Robert Pattinson plays him, and he is not happy. On his podcast Friday, the“To Catch a Predator”host called the performance“bizarre”and described Pattinson’s version of him as“so detached, so unhinged, so dark, so unlikeable.”He watched the movie with about 13 former crew members from his investigations and said the whole group was upset by what they saw on screen.

Hansen didn’t stop at the acting. He went after director Lance Oppenheim, accusing him of making a“horror-like”film and ignoring positive input. In Hansen’s words, it’s“a hit piece on me and the series.”He also suggested Hollywood is trying to demonize him for catching pedophiles. Meanwhile, Pattinson told the Venice Film Festival he hoped Hansen would like the film and said the performance was meant as a compliment. And in case you forgot, Hansen once said Denis Leary should have gotten the role instead.
