Chet Hanks and Eric André turned ComplexCon 2026 into a scene nobody planned for. The two got into a screaming match in Los Angeles in October 2026, with security stepping in to break it up, and it all traces back to a talk show appearance from three years earlier.
Here’s the timeline. In March 2023, Chet appeared on“The Eric André Show,”and André later claimed Chet stole a motorcycle and rode it around the studio during filming, telling Rolling Stone that Chet was“emotionally disturbed”and“almost knocked a bunch of grips and gaffers off their ladders.”Chet responded on Instagram, calling André a“p-y”and claiming he was outshined. André then dared him to take a DNA test to prove Tom Hanks is his father. The beef went quiet for a while. Until now.
The ComplexCon confrontation has reignited everything, and the internet is firmly split on who’s the villain here. Whether this ends in an apology, a lawsuit, or a podcast episode is anyone’s guess.
